Employer requested credit report. New Job.?
I went for an interview at a local car rental spot here in Ohio. I went through the interview and aced it. I got an offer and had to take a urine test and do a credit report. The offer was contingent among being able to pass a background, urine test and employment checks. All that should come back Okay. My only concern is my credit check. I have two cars on my record both and voluntary reposessions over a year old and two years only respectivley an old credit card, two light bills (which I am currently disputing with the credit reporting agencies) and 21 student loans. I have no clue why there are so many.
I called the student loan company and was put on a payment plan. I know under the FCRA that they would not get my credit score, but do you think I will still get hired? It is a front desk position, nothing big in the company.
As of this post, I don't see them looking at the report yet.
