Ohio BMV renewal question?
This is for the State of Ohio.
I have to renew my registration. It will cost $52.50 ($32.50 for the renewal and $20.00 for tax). If I pay this cost I will only have $40.00. What I want to do is to get a temporary tag for $18.00 + $20.00 tax so I can pay next month. Do you think this is allowed?

Temp Tags are only available if you just bought the vehicle, they are not available to extend existing registration. You will need to stop eating out, quit stopping for coffee in the morning, etc to come up with the funds. Ohio also has late fees that are added if you don't pay on time.

You mean to tell us that you cannot borrow $12.50 to cover the difference in registration? You sir/ma'am should not be owning a car. How do you afford insurance? Gas? Maintenance?

Other answer is right. Temp tags are for a that was just purchased. And also note your registration expires at your birthday, not the end of the month.
