Driver License Suspended?
I had my court hearing scheduled on for Thursday for disobeying the sign ticket and my attorney went to represent me in the court that day. The attorney was able to get an rescheduled hearing which is now in Feb 2014 but since I already rescheduled my hearing online once, I had to pay the bond of $40. The day after my hearing was held, I called at attorney office and the secretary told me that they wont have the results until Monday but next day she left voicemail which I didnt not hear until the past time for me to pay that bond. Now the DMV suspended my license. I wanted to know how much the fees will be to remove that suspension termination and will it have bad effect on my license if so, for how long? I would really appreciate it if you can please let me know. Thanks
New York State!
no this is the first suspension I am getting. I have no prior ones. So that means I only need to pay $25 and plus $40 bond fees?
Also will it have a definite bad effect on my license or once I pay the termination fees, it would show up on my record? Please let me know. Thanks

So you're saying that the attorney showed and that something wsa reached. You neglected to hear the message until after the bond was due. Therefore, since you didn't pay the bond your licensed was revoked. You will likely have to pay the $40.00 fee plus all reinstatement fees., You MIGHT have to appear in front of a judge due to your failure to follow the order. Contact your attorney.
BTW: This is as specific as anyone can be, states vary widely.
**Edit:** The suspension termination fee is $25 for each suspension. This is assuming that you don't have a definite suspension such as not driving for 60 days or whatnot.
