My starting TE (Alge Crumpler who I hope will get better this year) is going on a bye on Week 8.

I have a couple decent options on the free agency: Chris Baker of the Jets that plays home against Buffalo (2nd worst passing defense) and Desmond Clark of Chicago who plays at home against Detroit (3rd worst passing defense).

Clark has been far more trustable “fantasy-wise” all season and has maintained a decent 47 yards per game average so far (2 TDs). BUT…I’m also starting WR Bernand Berrian for sure against the weak secondary of the Lions. Somehow both of them are going to compete for the passes.

First….who would you choose in my place?

Second….Should I keep Clark / Baker in my roster to switch one of them with Crumpler depending on the match?

To do that I would have to sacrifice one RB spot right know occupied by E. Graham (TB) –not much to lose-. The rest of my RB corps is: F. Gore, R. Bush (both already had Byes), Jamal Lewis and Lamont Jordan.

10 teams, normal Yahoo Scoring. Starting lineup is 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 DST.

Here's my problem. I got a late pick in my draft and I have to use it to secure a couple decent RB (Frank Gore....I don't know how I got him and Reggie Bush).

Then I took a Top WR (Larry Fitzgerald was the best available) and then I suffer a lot. I decided to take a Top tier QB (Marc Bulger) and a Top DST (Chicago) because there was not much left in the WR department.

Then I use a lot of picks trying to find a player with an upsize during the season.

In the end I landed with:

Larry Fitzgerald, WR Arizona.

Reggie Brown, WR Philly (they let 1 good WR go)

Bernard Berrian and Muhsin Muhammad, WRs CHI (hoping one of them become the #1 option for Chicago this season).

Derrick Mason (he's supposed to be No. 2 in BAL)

Jerricho Cotchery (in case Pennington have another good year).

Do you think 3 of them will hold during the season?

Question for Madden 2008 owners on Wii.

I was planning to buy this game mostly for its online capabilities.

But then I heard some negative reviews on the online play.

Questions (you decide which ones you like to answer):

Is the online play good?

There are major lags during games?

How is it compared for example with Mario Strickers Charged (I think this one pulled off a very nice gaming online)?

Is the online server userfriendly or you need a MIT Ph.D. to use it?

I got a question. Does this cable works / is a good purchase only if you own a Plasma or an LCD TV?

I got a Sony Wega TV -Flat Screen- of 32''. And I know it got all the plugs for a cable like that.

My questions are:

1. Will it work?

2. Will it make a difference on the Wii image or in a non-Plasma ( non LCD TV is pretty much the same?

I face a most win game to achieve playoffs in my fantasy league.

At QB position I have the almost always reliable Marc Bulger (STL) vs. Chicago, the best passing defense in the league. So far this year Chicago has aloud only 8 passing TD in the year and an amazing amount of 21 INT.

Garrard is my second choice against the "almost as good" Indianapolis passing defense. Of course Indy defense has been very weak against the run, but they are not nearly as weak against the pass. But at least they have aloud 14 TD's and only 13 INT.

Who should I start??

After those two, my only options left in the free agency are hyper rookie Jay Cuttler against San Diego, or jP Losman against the Jets.

PS: I would also appreciate you opinion on the kicker field. Lawrence Tynes (KC) playing home against the tough defense of Baltimore (that's not as bad as it sound....Good defense = no TD's = more FG), or the on fire Josh Brown of Seattle against a weak Arizona defense

Here's my particular situation. I'm planning on buying an unexpensive game console this december and I got three options:

1. PS2: Sounds nonesense I know. But where I live (Costa Rica...Latin America....the third world), there's a HUGE variety of games in PS2 format. And of course, PS2 prices are going to the floor.

Summary: Buy a PS2 now, buy a bunch of games, and wait until next year to decide between PS3, Wii and XBOX 360.

2. Wii. Option 2. Start right now with a new console. Wii price is great. But it's almost impossible to find variety of titles around here.

Summary, option #2: Buy the new technology, buy a decent title (like Zelda for example) and wait until the rest of the games come here.

3. GameCube. GameCubes are the most unexpensive option. However, for a reason I really don't understand, Nintendo games are much difficult to find than PS2 here. In summary: buy something and try, and use the games later in Wii.

I live outside the U.S. I'm a big NFL fan and I'm lately getting interested in NCAA Football.

However I can't understand how the Conference System works!

I know there's like 17 different conference and the teams plays against rivals of it's own conference and from other conferences.

But....

How is defined who goes to the "playoffs" (Is there anything like playoffs there?)

How is defined who plays in each College Bowl?

How is defined which two teams plays for the National Championship?

Mi problema es el siguiente. Acá donde vivo (Costa Rica) las películas compradas en tiendas cuestan más o menos el doble de lo que cuestan en Internet (incluyendo el envío o el shipping).

Normalmente una buena solución es comprar en Amazon.com, lo que pasa es que allí casi todas las películas que venden son Zona 1 (vienen en inglés solamente o bien no traen subtítulos en español).

En películas infantiles por ejemplo, el traer el idioma doblado hace una diferencia importante.

Por esto pregunto: ¿¿Alguien conoce algún buen sitio Web para comprar películas Zona 4??

Esta es una pregunta válida para varios deportes. En Estados Unidos al equipo campeón de la NBA, de las Grandes Ligas, del Hockey y del Fútbol Americano le llaman "Campeón del Mundo".

Sin embargo, al menos en baloncesto y en beisbol los famosos "Dream Teams" llevan ya varios años sin demostrar nada al compararse con equipos nacionales de otros países (en basket llevan ya dos mundiales siendo eliminados y les fue bastante mal en el Mundial de Beisbol).

El decirse campeones del mundo era entendible en tiempos de Jordan, de Magic Johnson y de Barkley cuando, por ejemplo en Barcelona 92 ganaron MUY fácilmente contra todos sus rivales.

Pero...¿hoy en día sigue siendo justa esta clasificación?
